  • Rates from $1499.00 per night – in the extraordinary Tower  Loft Room, including a private leisurely room service  breakfast at a time to suit. Served in your own private dining area or in the garden, or terrace weather permitting.

Social distancing principles always apply with totally private guest areas and private dining.  No shared or communal spaces. Whilst we offer an extraordinary selection of room options, we accept one couple at any one time.

Check-in is from 3.00 and check-out 11.00

Not suited for the mobility impaired, or those unable to climb stairs with ease.

Thorngrove is designed specifically for adult couples and does not accept group bookings. There are no communal areas.  Babies under 6 months are able to be accommodated  with their parents  and children  over 12 years can be accommodated on the same basis as adults in the Castle Chambers, by arrangement only. Should you have a specific request, outside these guidelines, please enquire for consideration.

Due to Thorngrove’s intimate  and  petit boutique size, and limited accommodation, we necessarily have a cancellation policy.  A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to confirm all bookings.  We will endeavour to re-book your suite if you need to cancel your booking and refund your deposit if  successful.   If unwell, your booking is able to be transferred with no additional penalty.  The deposit and full payment will  be credited for another date.   For peace of mind we advise all guests to have travel insurance to protect them against unexpected  changes to travel plans and to cover any cancellation fees. No refunds or credits can be provided in the event of a no show. Maximum number of guests 2.

The Tower Room – 2nd Floor, Loft Room – $1499.00pn

Ascend a spiral staircase in a crenellated tower to this classically inspired room with sophisticated, flamboyant and creative décor with rare, signature antique and bespoke furniture and objet d’art, including an antique life-size Auguste Moreau bronze statue. Divided into sleeping and living zones, an exotic Queen size  ornately hand carved Ebony bed creates a stunning centrepiece , with French carved and gilded antique bedside cabinets. En-suite with opening gable roof window, deep porcelain spa bath/separate rain shower, walk-in wardrobe/luggage storage.   Luxurious bespoke velvety Axminster carpet made by Brintons, especially for Thorngrove.   Hand worked crewel embroidered wool curtains.  A richly carved circa 1880 antique dining setting for private dining is located by the bay window.  Antique gilded French Bergere chairs. Access to private balcony with outdoor dining. Uninterrupted and sweeping treetop views to the rich sunlit horizon.

Castle Chambers -$1799.00pn – first floor
